My sister passed down an AquaDoodle from her kids to mine. It has been great for the kids to draw on while I make dinner. I don't have to worry about them drawing on surfaces they shouldn't or making a big mess I have to clean up. You fill the "markers" with water and kids draw on the mat. The water dries and they can keep drawing! The manufacturer recommends that this is for 2 year olds and up, but I've introduced it to my kids under 2 years old. It's great for them because of the non-mess factor. The only issue I've had is that my newly-turned-one year old sometimes wants to put the markers in his mouth, but even he can make marks on the mat. Although I might hold off for a few more months until he is closer to 18 months for him to use it more regularly.
